On May 12, 2022, Prime Minister Kishida held the 28th Japan-European Union
(EU) Summit Meeting and other events with H.E. Mr. Charles Michel,
President of the European Council, and H.E. Dr. Ursula von der Leyen,
President of the European Commission, at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The three leaders attended a salute and guard of honor ceremony, followed by a summit meeting. The leaders then held a joint press announcement.
