Links

  1. In principle, users are free to create links to information on “the Official Website of the Prime Minister of Japan and His Cabinet” (hereinafter referred to as “the website”). However, this does not apply to information contained on the website where restrictions concerning links are denoted.
  2. Users should clearly indicate that the link(s) they create are to “the Official Website of the Prime Minister of Japan and His Cabinet.” (This does not require prior notification to the Cabinet Secretariat.)
  3. When a link is created, users are requested to ensure that the link to the website does not open as a frame within another website, but opens as a new window.

Use of Content on the website

The information made available via the website (hereinafter referred to as Content) may be freely used by any person in accordance with provisions 1 to 6 detailed below, including reproduction, public transmission and adaptation through translation or other modifications, etc. Commercial use of Content is also permitted. 2.No infringement of third party rights
  1. There are cases in which Content may include copyrighted or other rights-protected materials of third parties (third parties here refers to a party other than the state; the same applies hereafter). 4.Governing law and agreement on jurisdiction
  1. The Terms of Use shall be interpreted pursuant to the laws of Japan.
  2. In the event that dispute arises relating to the use of Content under the Terms of Use or about the Terms of Use themselves, the user agrees that the exclusive court of first instance shall be the district court with jurisdiction over the location of the organization that has published the Content or Terms of Use that are in dispute.

  1. The state shall bear absolutely no responsibility for any action taken by the user that involves the use of Content (including use of information based on edited or reconfigured Content).
  2. Content may be modified, moved or deleted without prior notice.
6.Other matters

In cases where the Content is already used based on any of the earlier versions of the Government of Japan Standard Terms and Conditions, the same conditions shall continue to apply.
  3. The Terms of Use are compatible with the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (copyright license terms and conditions stipulated in https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode.ja, referred to as "CC BY" on the website) and the Content to which the Terms of Use apply may also be used in accordance with CC BY.
