Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda attended the Summit Meeting between Japan and the Mekong Region Countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam) at the State Guest House, Akasaka Palace.
After the summit meeting, the Prime Minister held a joint press conference.
In the afternoon, Prime Minister Noda held talks respectively with the leaders of each country. First, the Prime Minister held talks with Mr. Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and attended a signing ceremony and a joint press conference. Then, the Prime Minister held talks with Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, and later held talks with Mr. Thein Sein, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and attended a signing ceremony and a joint press conference.
