On November 19, 2024 (local time), during his visit to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to attend the G20 Rio de Janeiro Summit and related events, Prime Minister Ishiba met with members of the Nikkei (Japanese immigrants and descendants) community and Japanese residents in the area. He then participated in a Japan-Italy-UK Leaders' Meeting with Rt Hon Keir Starmer MP, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and H.E. Ms. Giorgia Meloni, President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic to discuss the Global Combat Air Program (GCAP). Following this, he attended Session 3 of the G20 Summit, titled "Sustainable Development and Energy Transition". Later, Prime Minister Ishiba held talks with H.E. Mr. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil and concluded the day with a press conference addressing his participation in the APEC Summit and G20 Summit.

On November 17, 2024 (local time), Prime Minister Ishiba visited Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to attend the G20 Summit (Summit on Financial Markets and the World Economy) and related events. On the 18th (local time), the Prime Minister participated in the launch of the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty and attended Session 1, titled "Fight against Hunger and Poverty." In the afternoon, he held bilateral meetings with the Rt Hon Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada and the Rt Hon Keir Starmer KCB KC MP, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. He then participated in Session 2, titled "Reform of the Global Governance Institutions."

On November 17, 2024 (local time), during his visit to the Republic of Peru, Prime Minister Ishiba attended a welcome ceremony hosted by the Peruvian Nikkei Association, where he delivered a speech. He then participated in a discussion session with representatives of the Nikkei (Japanese immigrants and descendants) communities in Peru. Following this, he attended a welcome ceremony at the Presidential Palace and held talks with H.E. Ms. Dina Boluarte, President of the Republic of Peru. Later, they had a presentation ceremony of the Joint Statement and a joint press conference. In the afternoon, Prime Minister Ishiba attended a luncheon hosted by President Boluarte.

On November 16, 2024 (local time), Prime Minister Ishiba, who is visiting Lima, Peru, to attend the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Summit and related events, participated in the APEC Leaders’ Retreat. He then had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Luong Cuong, President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, as well as an informal talk with H.E. Mr. Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia. Following this, Prime Minister Ishiba visited the Campo Fe de Huachipa Cemetery, where he offered flowers to the grave of H.E. Mr. Alberto FUJIMORI, the late Former President of the Republic of Peru and expressed his condolences. He later met with H.E. Mr. YOON Suk Yeol, President of the Republic of Korea, and concluded the day with a press conference discussing the Japan-ROK summit meeting and his participation in the APEC Summit.

On November 15, 2024 (local time), Prime Minister Ishiba visited Lima, Peru, to attend the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Summit and related meetings. The Prime Minister participated in an informal dialogue between APEC leaders and invited economies, followed by a meeting with H.E. Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia. In the afternoon, he attended a dialogue between APEC leaders and the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), after which he held talks with the Honorable Joseph R. Biden, Jr., President of the United States of America. This was followed by a trilateral summit with President Biden and H.E. Mr. Yoon Suk Yeol, President of the Republic of Korea. Later, Prime Minister Ishiba met with Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China and subsequently held a press conference regarding the series of meetings. In the evening, he attended the APEC Leaders' Welcome Dinner.

On November 14, 2024, Prime Minister Ishiba held a press conference regarding his Attendance at the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Leaders' Meeting and G20 Summit Meeting at the Prime Minister's Office.

Member of the House of Representatives ISHIBA Shigeru was designated as the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Ishiba became the 103rd Prime Minister since ITO Hirobumi, the first Prime Minister of Japan.
