APEC Leaders' Meeting: Day 1

On November 15, 2024 (local time), Prime Minister Ishiba visited Lima, Peru, to attend the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Summit and related meetings.
The Prime Minister participated in an informal dialogue between APEC leaders and invited economies, followed by a meeting with H.E. Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.
In the afternoon, he attended a dialogue between APEC leaders and the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), after which he held talks with the Honorable Joseph R. Biden, Jr., President of the United States of America. This was followed by a trilateral summit with President Biden and H.E. Mr. Yoon Suk Yeol, President of the Republic of Korea.
Later, Prime Minister Ishiba met with Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China and subsequently held a press conference regarding the series of meetings.
In the evening, he attended the APEC Leaders' Welcome Dinner.
