Second Day of the Prime Minister's Visit to India

On December 28 (local time), Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda, who was visiting India, attended a welcome ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential House) and then offered flowers at Raj Ghat. Later, Prime Minister Noda received a courtesy call from Mr. S. M. Krishna, Minister of External Affairs of India, following which he delivered a speech at the event hosted by the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA).
In the afternoon, after attending a luncheon hosted by three Indian economic organizations, Prime Minister Noda met with Mr. M. Hamid Ansari, Vice President of India.
Later, Prime Minister Noda held talks with Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India, at the Hyderabad House, which was followed by a signing ceremony for the joint statement and a joint press conference.
After the meeting, Prime Minister Noda attended a banquet hosted by Prime Minister Singh.
