On the morning of September 29 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who is currently visiting New York in the United States, held a dialogue with members of the business community, centered on representatives of the financial field. After that, he extended words of encouragement to the Japanese staff of international organizations.
In the afternoon, after participating in a luncheon with H.M. King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan , the Prime Minister delivered an address at the General Debate of the 70th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations . Following that, the Prime Minister received a courtesy call from the Hon. Joseph R. Biden Jr., Vice President of the United States of America .
Finally, the Prime Minister held a press conference.
