On the morning of September 28 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, during his visit to New York in the United States, attended the Invest Japan Seminar. After this, he attended the Visit Japan Tourism Seminar hosted by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), followed by the health coverage side event jointly hosted with the Global Fund titled “The Path towards Universal Health Coverage .”
In the afternoon, the Prime Minister attended the 2nd Leader’s Summit on Peacekeeping, and held talks with H.E. Mr. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation ; H.E. Mr. Mogens Lykketoft, President of the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly; H.E. Mr. Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine; and H.E. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
Lastly, the Prime Minister attended the Japan-Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting.
