Second Day of the Prime Minister’s Visit to the Republic of Chile

On July 31 (local time), during his visit to the Republic of Chile, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe attended the Japan-Chile Trade and Investment Forum. Following that, the Prime Minister visited a Japanese garden on Santa Lucia Hill, and then attended a wreath laying ceremony in Citizenship Square.
Afterwards the Prime Minister attended a welcome ceremony at La Moneda Palace, and held a meeting with H.E. Ms. Michelle Bachelet Jeria, President of the Republic of Chile. Prime Minister Abe then held a joint press announcement and attended a ceremony to announce the signing of a memorandum and other documents.
Lastly, the Prime Minister attended a luncheon hosted by President Bachelet.
