Prime Minister Shinzo Abe attended the Meeting of the Government and Ruling Parties on the FY2015 Guidelines for Budget Requests at the Prime Minister's Office.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the FY2015 guidelines for budget requests.

Based on the discussion, the Prime Minister said,

“The FY2015 budget is an important budget for exiting deflation and expanding the positive cycle of the economy through private demand-led growth, along with spreading the effects of Abenomics to regional communities. In addition, FY2015 represents the deadline for achieving the target of halving the primary balance.
We must achieve both economic revitalization and fiscal soundness. This is the only path forward.
From that standpoint, I am seeking a budget with bold prioritization and efficiency.
The FY2015 guidelines for budget requests are in line with this policy, and I would like to ask for special cooperation from senior officials of the ruling parties and also the relevant Cabinet ministers.”
