On September 23 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, during his visit to Canada, received the welcome of Mr. Noel A. Kinsella, Speaker of the Senate of Canada, and Mr. Andrew Scheer, M.P., Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada. He then received an explanation from Senate Speaker Kinsella at the Parliament of Canada about the Senate chamber.
