On June 15 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who is visiting Europe, visited the Republic of Poland and attended the "Food Reception."
On the following day, June 16 (local time), the Prime Minister laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Afterwards, the Prime Minister was welcomed by Mr. Donald Tusk, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
Later, the Prime Minister held a Japan-Poland summit meeting and a joint press conference.
In the afternoon, the Prime Minister held a summit meeting and a joint press conference with the Visegrad Group (V4) (Republic of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, and Hungary) at the Royal Castle. Then, the Prime Minister held talks with Mr. Viktor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary, Mr. Robert Fico, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, and Mr. Petr Necas, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, respectively, at a hotel in Warsaw.
Lastly, the Prime Minister held talks with Mr. Bronislaw Komorowski, President of the Republic of Poland, at the Belvedere Palace.
