Chief Cabinet Secretary Fujimura also expressed expectations toward the transitional Government's efforts to hold a Constitutional Assembly election, scheduled to take place this month, in a peaceful and successful manner.
- In response, Minister Ben Khaial expressed his gratitude for Japan's prompt support during the revolution in Libya last year, and Japan's humanitarian and reform support after the civil war ended.
- Chief Cabinet Secretary Fujimura and Minister Ben Khaial confirmed that Japanese companies are currently steadily resuming their activities in Libya as a result of a government-private sector joint economic mission dispatched to Libya in January this year, and confirmed that they will work together to encourage active investments to Libya by Japanese companies in the future.
