Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda reshuffled the Cabinet, and the Third Reshuffled Noda Cabinet was inaugurated.
At a Cabinet meeting in the morning, letters of resignation by the Cabinet members were collected. In the afternoon, the Prime Minister held a press conference and announced the list of the new Cabinet members.
Later, the attestation ceremony of the Ministers of State and deputy chief cabinet secretaries was held at the Imperial Palace, which marked the official inauguration of the Third Reshuffled Noda Cabinet.
The Prime Minister then held the first Cabinet meeting, during which the Basic Policies were decided, and he then attended a commemorative photograph session.
