On September 7 (local time), Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda visited Vladivostok, the Russian Federation, to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting.
On the following day, September 8, Prime Minister Noda held talks with Mr. Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore. Then, Prime Minister Noda had talks with Mr. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and held the signing ceremony of the Japan-Russia Bilateral Agreement on Countermeasures against Poaching and Illegal Export of Marine Products.
Then, the Prime Minister attended the Retreat Session 1 of the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting on the themes of trade and investment liberalization, regional economic integration, and establishing reliable supply chains, and participated in the discussion with the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC)."
Later, Prime Minister Noda received a courtesy call from Ms. Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State of the United States.
In the evening, the Prime Minister attended a banquet welcoming the leaders.
