Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda attended the plenary session of the House of Councillors.

During the session, explanation was provided on the resolution to protest President of the Republic of Korea Lee Myung-bak's visit to Takeshima and his recent comments in relation to His Majesty the Emperor, and the resolution related to the illegal landing on the Senkaku Islands by civil activists from Hong Kong, both of which were approved. Following this, the Prime Minister delivered an address on the resolutions. Then, debate on a  no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Noda took place, and the resolution passed as a result of voting.
