Onsite Survey of the Disaster in Northern Kyushu due to Torrential Rain

Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda visited the areas in Northern Kyushu struck by a torrential rain disaster.
After arriving in Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture, the Prime Minister met with Mr. Ikuo Kabashima, Governor of Kumamoto Prefecture, and Mr. Yoshioki Sato, Mayor of Aso City, and heard an explanation on the damage. Then, the Prime Minister observed evacuation centers and disaster-stricken areas.
Later, the Prime Minister went to Hita City, Oita Prefecture, and met with Mr. Katsusada Hirose, Governor of Oita Prefecture, and Mr. Keisuke Harada, Mayor of Hita City. After hearing an explanation on the damage, the Prime Minister observed the disaster-stricken areas.
The Prime Minister then went to Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture. After observing the flooded areas along Yabe River, the Prime Minister met with Mr. Hiroshi Ogawa, Governor of Fukuoka Prefecture, and Mr. Kenji Kaneko, Mayor of Yanagawa City, and heard an explanation on the damage.
Lastly, the Prime Minister went to Saga Airport and heard an explanation on the damage from Mr. Yasushi Furukawa, Governor of Saga Prefecture.
