The Prime Minister Visits Iwate Prefecture

Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda visited Iwate Prefecture.
After arriving in Kamaishi City, the Prime Minister observed the fish market in Kamaishi City, and then heard an explanation on the progress of the reconstruction of the city from Mr. Takenori Noda, the Mayor of Kamaishi City, at the City Office.
In the afternoon, the Prime Minister visited the temporary housing in Heita District, and then observed the support center. The Prime Minister then conducted talks with temporary housing residents. After that, the Prime Minister visited Unosumai Station and heard an explanation on the situation of evacuation at the time of disaster from Professor Toshitaka Katada of Gunma University.
Later, the Prime Minister went to Otsuchi Town and observed Machikata District and the temporary shopping district within the Kita Elementary School District.
Lastly, the Prime Minister observed Sea Side Town Mast, the shopping center in Otsuchi Town, and conducted talks with people from the Chamber of Commerce and business operators.
