Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda visited Miyagi Prefecture.
After meeting with Mr. Yoshihiro Murai, Governor of Miyagi Prefecture, the Prime Minister attended the opening ceremony of the World Ministerial Conference on Disaster Reduction in Tohoku and delivered an address.
Later, the Prime Minister observed the site of the project to restore disaster-prevention forests along the coast in Wakabayashi Ward, Sendai City, and the large-scale horticultural technology inspection and research facility in Yamamoto Town, Watari County.
