Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda held the 27th meeting of the Government Revitalization Unit at the Prime Minister's Office.

Discussion took place on the disclosure process of the review of administrative programs, and other matters.

The Prime Minister said in his opening address, "Administrative reform is an important issue that must be strongly put forward along with the comprehensive reform of social security and taxation systems. Efforts of the Government Revitalization Unit are becoming more important than ever.
One of the most important items on the agenda today concerns the disclosure process of the review of administrative programs that will be implemented in each ministry from early next month. The review of administrative programs is an effort to conduct review of government programs in-house at each ministry, and to cement the process.
I would like to ask each ministry to review and improve the programs in a proactive and autonomous manner based on the people's perspective, and to reflect the results thoroughly in the budget requests."
