The Prime Minister Attends the Plenary Session of the House of Representatives and Other Committee Meetings

Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda attended the meetings of the Budget Committee, the Committee on Internal Affairs and Communications, and the Committee on Financial Affairs of the House of Representatives, and the plenary session of the House of Representatives.
At the meeting of the Budget Committee held in the morning, the Prime Minister answered closing questions from Committee members on the draft comprehensive FY2012 budget, followed by a vote in which the FY2012 draft budgets for the general account, special accounts, and government-affiliated agencies were approved.
At the meeting of the Committee on Internal Affairs and Communications held in the afternoon, the Prime Minister answered questions from Committee members on the local tax bill and the local allocation tax bill, and the two bills were voted on and approved.
Then at the meeting of the Committee on Financial Affairs, the Prime Minister answered questions from Committee members on the special accounts bill and the special tax measures bill, and the two bills were voted on and approved.
Later, during the plenary session of the House of Representatives, the House voted on the bills approved at the three Committees, and all the bills were passed.
