Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda visited Okinawa Prefecture.
Arriving in Naha City, the Prime Minister observed Naha Airport's runway expansion project and new cargo terminal.
He then visited the Peace Memorial Park in Itoman City, where he offered a flower at the National Cemetery for the War Dead and observed the Cornerstone of Peace.
This was followed by a visit to the Himeyuri Monument and the offering of flowers.
Later, the Prime Minister observed the Former Japanese Navy Underground Headquarters in Tomigusuku City and visited the bust of Mr. Ichiro Suetsugu in Urasoe City.
