Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda reshuffled the Cabinet, and the reshuffled Noda Cabinet was inaugurated.

At a Cabinet meeting in the morning, the letters of resignation by the Cabinet members were collected, and the list of the new Cabinet members was announced by Mr. Osamu Fujimura, Chief Cabinet Secretary. Later, the attestation ceremony of the new Cabinet members was held at the Imperial Palace, which marked the official inauguration of the Reshuffled Noda Cabinet.

The Prime Minister then returned to the Prime Minister's Office, held the first Cabinet meeting, during which the Basic Policies of the Reshuffled Noda Cabinet were decided, and he then attended a commemorative photograph session. After that, Prime Minister Noda held a press conference.
