Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda visited Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture and Ofunato City, Iwate Prefecture.

Arriving at Matsushima Air Base of the Air Self-Defense Force (ASDF) by SDF aircraft, the Prime Minister travelled to Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture and observed a fish processing facility. The Prime Minister then visited temporary housing in the same city.
Afterwards, the Prime Minister travelled to Ofunato City, Iwate Prefecture and observed a cement factory, which was followed by a visit to temporary housing in the same city.
