On November 18 (local time), Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda, who is visiting Bali, the Republic of Indonesia, to attend summit meetings related to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), attended the 14th Japan-ASEAN Summit Meeting with the leaders of 10 ASEAN member countries, the ASEAN+3 Summit Meeting with 10 ASEAN member countries plus Japan, China, and the Republic of Korea (ROK), and the 3rd Japan-Mekong Summit Meeting.
Prime Minister Noda also held talks separately with Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, Mr. Thein Sein, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and Mr. Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, as well as delivering a speech at the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit.
In the evening, Prime Minister Noda attended the Gala Dinner hosted by Dr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, President of the Republic of Indonesia, and his wife and attended by the leaders of 10 ASEAN member countries, the ROK, China, the United States, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, and India.
