Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda received a request from the Council for Promotion of Dezoning and Reutilization of Military Land in Okinawa at the Prime Minister's Office.

A letter of request for the progress toward the resolution of issues surrounding US military bases was handed to the Prime Minister from Mr. Hirokazu Nakaima (Governor of Okinawa Prefecture), the Chair of the Council.
