On November 30 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who is visiting Paris in the French Republic to attend the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 21), was first welcomed by H.E. Mr. François Hollande, President of the French Republic, and others. Following this, the Prime Minister attended the opening ceremony of the Leaders Event of COP21, and then participated in a commemorative photograph session.
The Prime Minister also held meetings, respectively, with H.E. Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the State of Israel; H.E. Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India; and President Hollande.
Prime Minister Abe then attended the ceremony to launch Mission Innovation, and delivered a speech at the COP21 Summit Meeting . Afterwards, the Prime Minister served as Acting President at the plenary session.
