On November 22 (local time), during his visit to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia to attend Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-related summit meetings, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe first held talks with H.E. Ir. H. Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia.
Afterwards, the Prime Minister attended the signing ceremony for the Kuala Lumpur Declaration on The Establishment of The ASEAN Community and the Kuala Lumpur Declaration on ASEAN 2025 . Following this, Prime Minister Abe and the leaders of other relevant countries announced the Joint Statement on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Negotiations.
Prime Minister Abe then attended an East Asia Summit Meeting, followed by an ASEAN-Japan Summit Meeting. Lastly, the Prime Minister held a press conference.
