On November 19 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who is visiting Manila in the Republic of the Philippines to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting, was welcomed by H.E. Mr. Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III, President of the Republic of the Philippines , the APEC chair country, and then attended a leaders’ commemorative photograph session. Following this, he attended a session about the regional and global economy. Afterwards, he attended a retreat on the theme of “Inclusive Growth through Regional Economic Integration. ”
In the afternoon, after attending a retreat on the theme of “Inclusive Growth through Sustainable and Resilient Communities ,” the Prime Minister held a summit meeting with The Honorable Barack H. Obama, President of the United States of America .
Afterwards, the Prime Minister held a summit meeting with President Aquino of the Philippines, then attended a signing ceremony, and held a joint press announcement.
