The Prime Minister Visits Bangladesh

On September 6 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited Dhaka, the capital of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
After attending a welcome ceremony, the Prime Minister visited the independence memorial in Savar and the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum. He offered flowers at both locations.
Following that, the Prime Minister delivered an address at the Japan-Bangladesh Business Forum.
Furthermore, at the Prime Minister’s Office of Bangladesh, Prime Minister Abe held talks with H.E. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. After an expanded summit meeting, the leaders held a signing ceremony for a joint statement and a joint press announcement.
Later, after paying a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Md. Abdul Hamid, President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Prime Minister Abe received courtesy calls from H.E. Ms. Khaleda Zia, Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), and H.E. Ms. Rowshan Ershad of the Jatiya Party.
In the evening, the Prime Minister attended a banquet hosted by Prime Minister Hasina.
On September 7 (local time), the Prime Minister visited the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Dhaka.
