Prime Minister's Visit to the Republic of Mozambique

On January 12 (local time), during his visit to the Republic of Mozambique, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held talks with H.E. Mr. Armando Emílio Guebuza, President of the Republic of Mozambique, at the President's Office in the morning. After the meeting, the Prime Minister attended a signing ceremony and held a joint press announcement.
Later, the Prime Minister attended a meeting between an economic mission and the President, and then sampled food with H.E. President Guebuza at a Japanese food exhibition.
In the afternoon, the Prime Minister attended the Japan-Mozambique Investment Forum, delivered a speech, and attended a gathering with Mozambique's national women's basketball team. Following this, he offered words of encouragement to the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV).
In the evening, the Prime Minister attended a banquet hosted by H.E. President Guebuza.
