The Prime Minister Visits the Kingdom of Cambodia

On November 16 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the Kingdom of Cambodia.
In Phnom Penh, the Prime Minister offered flowers at the memorials for Police Superintendent Mr. Haruyuki Takada, who lost his life in the line of duty as a civilian police officer of the peacekeeping operations (PKO), Mr. Atsuhito Nakata, a United Nations Volunteer (UNV) who lost his life during his activity, and Mr. Koki Ishiyama, a reporter for Kyodo News.
Afterwards, the Prime Minister attended a welcome ceremony at the Council of Ministers, which was followed by talks with H.E. Mr. Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, a signing ceremony, and a joint press announcement. Then, Prime Minister Abe had an audience with His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, at the Royal Palace.
Later, in Phnom Penh, the Prime Minister attended a medical seminar and visited the National Maternal and Child Health Center, and in the evening, attended a banquet hosted by Prime Minister Hun Sen at the Council of Ministers.
