Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited Kangaroom Shiodome, a nursery school operated by Shiseido Co., Ltd.

When the Prime Minister arrived at Shiseido Co., Ltd. in Minato Ward, he heard an explanation about support to help employees balance the demands of work and childcare. Following that, he had a meeting with employees that have had experience raising children. The Prime Minister said in his address,

"Visiting here today reinforces my belief that we must continue to support those raising children and women who work, and at the same time, companies as a whole must continue to treat children with care.
In other words, I believe that Japan's and society's continued support of women's active participation will create a society in which everyone raises children, and which treats children with care.
Visiting here, I felt that childcare is also a career. I thought that through childcare, by learning many different things, or by using this time period wisely, you are all raising your children while furthering your careers.
I once again felt that when a father and mother raise children together, their children grow up healthy, and when parents cooperate together, it really brings vibrancy to Japan.
As the Abe administration, we will thoroughly support working women, and of course this includes support for fathers working to raise their children too. I believe that this will lead to the creation of a better Japan. By all means, as I said at the beginning, this will bring vibrancy to the Japanese economy, and I want to advance this policy thoroughly."

Later, the Prime Minister visited the nursery school Kangaroom Shiodome.
