Prime Minister Shinzo Abe received a courtesy call from Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), at the Prime Minister's Office.

The Prime Minister then signed the Joint Political Declaration between Japan and NATO, which was followed by a joint press announcement.
