On July 3, 2024, Prime Minister Kishida visited the Head Office of the Bank of Japan (BOJ) in Tokyo on the occasion of the issuance of new banknotes. 

Prime Minister Kishida visited the payment site of the new BOJ notes and then held a joint press conference with Dr. UEDA Kazuo, Governor of the Bank of Japan.
