On April 21, 2022, the Prime Minister held a summit meeting and other events with the Rt. Hon. Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand, at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The two leaders attended a salute and guard of honor ceremony, followed by a summit meeting. Afterwards, the leaders held a joint press announcement and issued the Japan-New Zealand Leaders’ Joint Statement (English (PDF/210KB) / Japanese (PDF/216KB)).
