Under the Subversive Activities Prevention Act, the Public
Security Intelligence Agency conducts investigation into
organizations which may carry a risk of terroristic subversive
activities, and requests the Public Security Examination
Commission to implement control measures such as restricting
those organizations activities' or disbanding them if such
control is considered as necessary.

Under the Act Regarding Control of Organizations Which Committed
Indiscriminate Mass Murder, the Agency may request the Public
Security Examination Commission for the decision to take
surveillance action on organizations which have committed
indiscriminate mass murder in the past and are still considered
dangerous. The Agency may also conduct an on-the-spot inspection
of the facilities of the organizations based on the results
of the surveillance action.
The Agency contributes to the government's policy making
process by sharing information obtained in the process of
its intelligence activity and investigation of those organizations
with other governmental organizations concerned as needed.
