| The Conference for Nuclear Power Sited Regions is convened in order to designate regions in the vicinity of nuclear energy and other related facilities as well as to discuss and decide on the draft plan on promotion of regional development, based on the "Law on Special Measure Concerning Promotion of the Development of Nuclear Power Sited Regions." This law aims to promote the development of these regions by considering the ways in which disasters may be prevented in these regions and taking the necessary special measures for a comprehensive and broad-based development, among other means. |
