| * Law on Special Measure Concerning Promotion of the Development of Nuclear Power Sited Regions (Law No. 148 of December 8, 2000) | ||
| (Establishment of the Conference for Nuclear Power Sited Regions and Work Administered) | ||
| Article 11 | ||
| The Conference for Nuclear Power Sited Regions (hereinafter referred to as "the Conference") shall be established inside the Cabinet Office. | ||
| 2. | The Conference shall administer the following work: | |
| i. | Concerning nuclear power sited regions, the stipulations in Paragraph 1 of Article 3 shall be administered. | |
| ii. | Concerning the plan on promotion of regional development, the stipulations in Paragraph 3 of Article 4 shall be administered. | |
| iii. | Important items concerning the promotion of the development of nuclear power sited regions shall be reviewed and discussed in addition to the stipulations in the preceding two Items. | |
| (Organization, etc. of the Conference) | ||
| Article 12 | ||
| The Conference shall be comprised of a Chair and eight members. | ||
| 2. | The Prime Minister shall be assigned to the position of Chair. | |
| 3. | The following people shall be assigned as members: | |
| i. | Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications | |
| ii. | Minister of Finance | |
| iii. | Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology | |
| iv. | Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare | |
| v. | Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries | |
| vi. | Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry | |
| vii. | Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport | |
| viii. | Minister of the Environment | |
| 4. | Necessary matters concerning the organization and operation of the Conference other than those stipulated in the preceding three Paragraphs shall be determined by government decree. | |
