| The Headquarters for the Promotion of Measures to Prevent Drug Abuse was established, based on the "New Five-Year Drug Abuse Prevention Strategy" and "Emergency Measure at the Border to Prevent Trafficking of Illicit Drugs" (Headquarters for the Promotion of Measures to Prevent Drug Abuse decision, July 29, 2003), with the aim of conducting follow-ups on the strict regulation of drugs, publicity and educational campaigns that seek public understanding and cooperation, and other comprehensive and active measures being promoted under close coordination among the administrative agencies concerned. |
