On November 3 (local time), Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda visited Cannes, the French Republic, to attend the G20 Cannes Summit.
After attending a roundtable meeting of the B20 Business Summit where he delivered a speech, Prime Minister Noda held talks with Mr. David Cameron, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
In the afternoon, Prime Minister Noda was welcomed by Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy, President of the French Republic, which is chairing the G20 Summit, and attended the G20 Plenary Session 1 on Action Plan for Growth and Jobs and on reforming the international monetary system and the G20 Plenary Session 2 on trade and development.
Later, Prime Minister Noda held talks with Mr. Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council of the European Union (EU), and Mr. Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, President of the European Commission., and then with Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey.
