Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda attended the opening ceremony of the China-Japan Screen Image Exchange Program "China Film and Television Week Animation Festival" held in Tokyo.

The Prime Minister said in his address, "I strongly expect that through this program the peoples of Japan and China will be in touch with film works from each other's country, and directly experience each other's culture.
The next year is an important year for Japan and China as we will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relation between the two countries. It is also a chance to achieve a greater progress in the Japan-China relationship and further deepen the mutually beneficial relationship based on common strategic interests. With the success of this exchange program as one such important opportunity, I would like to develop our bilateral relations to a great extent."
