Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda held the 20th meeting of the Government Revitalization Unit at the Prime Minister's Office.

Discussion took place on the reforms of independent administrative agencies, reforms of regulations and systems, the review of administrative programs, and other matters.

The Prime Minister said in his opening address, "Before starting a meeting of the Government Revitalization Unit under a new structure, I have two things to ask of you, concerning the broad policies going forward.
One is that I would like to have various reforms, which have been advanced so far, accelerated even more, and have these processes followed up to make sure that they produce results.
Another is that I would like to go further with the review of government programs in order to consolidate the efforts for government revitalization. I would like to once again ask for your cooperation on this matter."
