Second Day of the G8 and G20 Summits
On Saturday, June 26 (local time), Prime Minister Naoto Kan, who is visiting Canada to attend the G8 Muskoka Summit, attended the G8 working session after meeting with Mr. David Cameron, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
After the working session, Prime Minister Kan held talks with Mr. Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev, President of the Russian Federation. In the afternoon, Prime Minister Kan moved to Toronto, the venue for the Summit on Financial Markets and the World Economy (G20 Toronto Summit), and held talks with Mr. Lee Myung-Bak, President of the Republic of Korea (ROK).
After the meeting, Prime Minister Kan attended the G20 welcome ceremony and reception, and then the G20 working dinner.
