Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama held the fourth meeting of the Employment Strategy Dialogue at the Prime Minister's Office.

At the meeting, the members discussed the new growth strategy (employment and human resources strategy) and other matters.

At the start of the meeting, Prime Minister Hatoyama said in his address, "I have been working on employment issues as the top priority issue of the current government. Employment and economic growth are like two sides of a coin: more jobs means increased growth, and that in turn creates more jobs. To this end, it is important to consider how we should model the new growth strategy. The global economy still harbors uncertainties, and given the economic situation at hand, I consider employment as still being the top priority issue. I would sincerely like to ask for your further cooperation and guidance."
