Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama visited Okinawa Prefecture. After offering
flowers at the Peace Memorial Park, the Prime Minister held talks with Mr. Hirokazu
Nakaima, Governor of Okinawa Prefecture.
Then the Prime Minister held a meeting with the heads of 19 municipalities
concerned with US bases, after which he visited Futenma No. 2 Elementary School,
observed US Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, and held a dialogue forum with
local residents at a gymnasium.
Afterwards, the Prime Minister observed US Marine Corps Camp Schwab and held
talks with Mr. Susumu Inamine, Mayor of Nago City.
