Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama held the 19th Japan-EU Summit Meeting at the Prime Minister's Office. Mr. Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council, and Mr. Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, President of the European Commission, attended from the European Union (EU) side.
After the meeting, the leaders attended the ceremony of delivering recommendations from the EU-Japan Business Round Table, following which they held a joint press conference.
