Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama received a courtesy call from the Japan Cherry Blossom Queen and Princess on the occasion of the Green Feather Campaign at the Prime Minister's Office. The Prime Minister had a green feather pin attached to his lapel and received a present of a rhododendron.

"Green feather" is a symbol of the Green Fundraising Campaign, which supports voluntary actions for forest maintenance by the people. A fundraising campaign will be conducted in a focused manner around the nation during the Greenery Month that runs from April 15 to May 14 every year.
