Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama held talks with His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, at the Prime Minister's Office.

During the talks, both leaders confirmed the stance that the two countries have enjoyed very good relations as exemplified by the close relationship between Japan's Imperial Family and Jordan's Royal Family, and agreed to continue enhancing bilateral cooperative relations. The leaders also exchanged views on the situation of the Middle East including the Middle East peace process and Iran.
