Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama held the sixth meeting of the Government Revitalization Unit at the Prime Minister's Office.

With the participation of Mr. Hirokazu Yoshikawa, who became a new member of the Unit on this day, discussions took place on a review of government programs of incorporated administrative agencies and government-affiliated public interest corporations and the establishment of the sub-committee for reforms of regulations and systems and review of administrative programs.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Hatoyama said, "I would like to carry out, in various forms, the second and third rounds of review of government programs of incorporated administrative agencies and public interest corporations. I would also like to take bold and fundamental measures in order to resolve regulatory issues. Henceforth, there will be even stronger public interest in the development of the Government Revitalization Unit. I sincerely wish you the best in your endeavors."
